Here at Jensten Underwriting in Huntingdon, we are seeking an Insurance Apprentice to join the Underwriting team.
You will initially be working as a Data Administrator in our Migrations team. You will be responsible for accurately migrating data to our new system.
You will have strong attention to detail and be confident to communicate with relevant stakeholders on the phone to check and clarify data.
Over time, your will complete a rotation into the Trading team, training to become an Assistant Underwriter to assistant Brokers with new business enquiries, processing mid-term adjustments and cancellations, and inviting renewals on our system.
Alongside your on-the-job training, you will also be completing the Insurance Practitioner Level-3 Apprenticeships and the Certificate in Insurance (CII).
Working hours are Monday to Friday, 9am – 5.30pm. We have free parking on site and the closest bus stop is a 5 min walk away from the office.
Primary duties of this Data Administrator job include:
- Inputting data accurately and efficiently from one system to another
- Ensuring data is accurate and up to date
. Gaining knowledge of each of the schemes
- Contacting Brokers via the phone to validate data
- Processing renewal invites within the given timeframe
- Incorporating the Group’s values into every procedure
You will also be or have:
- Strong communication skills both verbal and written
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Have a keen eye for detail
- Understanding of the internal computer system and procedures
- Ideally previous administration experience
