Salary expectation is difficult to indicate. However, qualified CILEX can earn in excess of £30K per annum plus benefits.
The Law Practice
- West Midlands firm continues to be a market leader in all aspects of debt recovery, focusing on business to business, with special expertise in defended proceedings, litigation, insolvency including compulsory winding-up and bankruptcy proceedings and over-payment of salary claims. Its client base ranges from blue-chip companies to small and medium-sized enterprises.
Your role
This is a unique role for an existing client handling high volume cases.
- The initial roles is pre-legal case management.
- Over time, the role likely to evolve into other area of debt recovery, including legal action. The role will includes:
- Updating case records
- Reporting to client & advising of next steps
- Financial postings
Working week
- Monday – Friday
- 9.00 a.m. to 5.00 p.m.
- 1 hour lunch
- 35 hours per week.
- Office based.
Desired skills
- Due to the Apprenticeship criteria candidates with LLB would not be eligible for this position
- Local viable commute essential
- 4-9 grades English and maths GCSE's
- Confident with excellent communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage reception in conjunction with other administration duties
- Good attention to detail
- Good working knowledge of ICT packages including Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Ability to demonstrate or gain a clear understanding of the firm’s in-house systems where training will be given
- Excellent presentation, organisation and timekeeping skills
- Awareness of confidentiality and safeguarding
- The ability to use own initiative, be able to work individually as well as part of a team
- Must be well-presented with a clear, pleasant telephone manner
- Good organisational skills
- Good client care skills

Training to be provided
- You will complete the Paralegal Apprenticeship
- This Apprenticeship will involve off the job training.
- You will also develop your knowledge, skills and behaviours.
- You need to have an employer to support your Apprenticeship and be employed in a relevant job role.
- The typical length of this Apprenticeship course is 18 months.
- This course has multiple start dates throughout the year
