Job Summary
To support the configuration, maintenance, and development of core Peterborough Limited (P-Ltd) systems and related infrastructure.
To maintain the contract relationship with the company’s core infrastructure and hardware IT supplier to ensure the reliance, usability and secure of systems and equipment.
To develop relationships with third party suppliers working proactively and in partnership to deliver and develop key systems and implement new systems and technology
To contribute to the development and implementation of P-Ltds IT strategy and assist in moving the business forward through appropriate use of IT systems
To support as the IT manager in delivering projects.
To visits various operating locations across Peterborough as required.
Duties
Support in the configuration, maintenance, development and management of P-Ltd’s IT systems and infrastructure.
Support P-Ltd with the management of online systems, e-resources, app development and online presence
Engage with partner organisations to ensure P-Ltd has access to IT solutions appropriate for the business
Interface with our infrastructure and systems suppliers, and core IT provider to get the best possible service for P-Ltd and hold regular account meetings/relationship meetings with them. Attend user group meetings to influence system development
Support P-Ltd’s external IT strategic partners in developing technical and strategic IT proposals to the company, acting as the interface between all of our IT suppliers
To learn and implement appropriate IT project management methodologies, to support projects using IT skills, knowledge and experience to take the business forward
Provide IT advice, guidance and systems support to P-Ltd staff and volunteers across all services, offering a first class standard of customer care and problem solving and troubleshooting as required.
Work to increase awareness and understanding among non-IT Managers of how they can best leverage our IT assets to deliver operational excellence and achieve their project objectives.
Interrogate systems to produce statistics and reports for the Company to monitor BAU and plan for the future
Ensure technology meets regulatory and compliance requirements.
Monitor and maintain inventory stocks of hardware and software licences
Identify and research new developments in IT which are relevant to P-Ltd services
Data Protection: Understanding GDPR and secure handling of user data.
Procurement Support: Assisting with vendor liaison and software licensing.
