Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join the team at a well established and respected contracting firm as an apprentice plasterer. Involved in projects across the spectrum from residential to commercial properties, the role will provide a rich and varied experience for the learner to gain the full skills needed for a career in the sector.

The role is designed for those who are physically fit, eager to learn and who are keen to gain a relevant qualification at the end of the Apprenticeship.

IT IS ESSENTIAL THAT THE APPRENTICE DRIVES, HAS A FULL UK DRIVING LICENSE AND HAS THEIR OWN TRANSPORT AS THEY WILL NEED TO ACCESS DIFFERENT SITES ACROS THE 2 COUNTIES

As an Apprentice, you will work alongside experienced professionals, gaining hands-on experience and knowledge in the construction industry as well as receive formal off the job training by a local Training Provider.

Responsibilities

New build plastering of walls
Renovation work – removing old plaster and re-rendering
Interior walls
Exterior walls
Skimming
Dry lining and plaster board
Pebble dashing
Cornice work
Using a variety of hand and power tools including cement mixers, drills, whisks, screw guns and render pumps.

Experience
No previous experience is necessary as full training will be given. However, the right candidate will have to have:

a keen eye for detail
pride in their work
a willingness to learn- the Apprenticeship is 2 years long so a commitment to stay the course is a must!
ability to work well as part of a team
a good degree of physical fitness
an excellent work ethic
a full UK driving license and their own transport as travel to various sites across Norfolk & Suffolk will be part of the role

Qualifications

Grade D/3 GCSE Maths & English or equivalent
The apprentice will need to be able to pass a CSCS card before starting- assistance will be given with this.
