Castle Surveys Ltd are excited to offer a unique opportunity for a motivated individual to join our team as a Trainee/Apprentice Topographic Land Surveyor. Responsibilities
- Assist experienced surveyors in carrying out topographic land surveys across varied locations and projects.
- Learn to use the latest survey equipment including total stations, GNSS, and other specialist tools.
- Help collect and process survey data, developing skills in LSS and CAD for drawing production.
- Support with equipment inspection and maintenance routines, including regular "Check and Adjust" procedures.
- Uphold strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work, following company procedures and industry standards.
- Communicate clearly with colleagues and clients, developing strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
- Participate in training, site inductions, and health and safety assessments relevant to surveying projects.
Requirements
- GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English; further study in geography, science, or technology is an advantage.
- A methodical, proactive approach and a keen desire to learn.
- Good communication, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to work outdoors in all weathers.
- Familiarity with computers and a desire to learn LSS, CAD, and other software tools.
- Interest in construction, mapping, or geomatics is beneficial.
- Full UK driving licence preferred or willingness to work towards one.
