Job title: Advanced Apprentice Electrician
Location: Glasgow
Salary: Starting from £18,667 with annual progression through the scheme duration.
What you’ll be doing:
- Comprehensive Training: Gain hands-on experience in installing, terminating, and testing electrical equipment by working from wiring diagrams, planned drawings, and company procedures in a high-tech marine environment.
 
- Diverse Skill Development: Develop expertise in installing a variety of electrical components and systems, including main distribution boards, fire detection systems, and integrated platform management systems during ship construction.
 
- Extensive Cabling Experience: Work with approximately 60+ miles of cabling on Type 26 vessels, ensuring each cable end is properly terminated, tested, and operational.
 
- Quality Assurance: Participate in check-wire activities to verify system integrity and compliance with schematics, ensuring readiness for handover to the commissioning team.
 
- Professional Standards: Acquire high-quality skills and techniques necessary for professional electrical and electro-mechanical installation, contributing to the successful delivery of advanced marine systems.
 
What Qualification Will You Get?

- National Certificate in Electrical Engineering
 
- (Optional Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering)
 
- Level 7 Engineering Diploma Pathway C: Engineering Technical Support
