Description
Paramount Group was originally formed to create and deliver high end data network services to the Industrial and Commercial sector. Over the past 8 years it’s become apparent that the need for other services such as Fire Safety Systems and Security Systems being delivered over IP (Internet Protocol) is an ever increasing area.
Due to continued growth, they are now looking to recruit an apprentice. The successful individuals will get the opportunity to work for an established employer and become a multi disciplined Fire and Security engineer.
You will work alongside an experienced engineer to install and maintain the following systems:
- CCTV systems
- Intruder alarms
- Access systems
- Fire systems
- Audio Visual
Working location will differ depending on location of projects.
The ideal candidate must be eager to join the industry and learn more about Fire & Security and willing to attend block release at the Glasgow training centre every 10 weeks.
Entry requirements
- Able to pass an enhanced DBS
- Be prepared to travel to SFS centre for apprenticeship block training one week every eight weeks in Glasgow
- Driving licence
- Ideally have GCSE Maths and English grade 4/C or above
- Ideally live locally to the Glasgow or Edinburgh area
- Previous experience in Electrical Installation or electrical knowledge is beneficial
Training to be provided
Fire Emergency Security Systems Technician Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard.
Skills for Security will deliver the apprenticeship training in block release at centre. You will attend centre one week every ten weeks.
You will be required to complete all training tasks allocated during your block release weeks at the training centre and gather any site evidence needed to supplement your studies.
You will be required to complete an annual assessment at the training centre and take part in any additional training courses that the company require you to complete.
On Site Training:
You will shadow and be mentored by a full time engineer and develop proficiency in installing, configuring and maintaining fire and security systems.
