Job Overview
This Apprentice role is for a motivated and caring individual to work with our Little
Crickets Forest School team as a minimum Level 2 Apprentice. This role
offers a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in early years
childcare while working towards a Level 3 Early Years Educator
qualification. You’ll be part of a supportive team dedicated to providing
high-quality care and education for children aged 2-5 years.
Duties
- Assist in delivering engaging, age-appropriate activities in line with the
- Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).
- Be committed to safeguarding and protection of all the children in our
- community
- Support children’s learning and development through play and structured
- activities.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming environment.
- Daily lunch cover duties
- Contribute to children’s personal care routines including feeding, toileting,
- and hygiene.
- Build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Observe and record children’s progress under supervision.
- Attend training sessions and complete coursework as part of the
- apprenticeship programme.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure the wellbeing and safety of
- all children.
- Attend staff meetings & INSET days as required
Requirements
- Currently at Level 2 minimum
- A genuine interest in working with young children in our outdoor
- Forest area
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Willingness to learn and undertake training.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to the role.
- GCSEs in English and Maths (Grade C/4 or above) are desirable
- but not essential.
Job Types: Full-time, Fixed term contract, Apprenticeship
Contract length: 18 months
Pay: £10.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 per week
