Launch your career (or restart it!) in Business/Finance Technology with Innovate Tax
Looking to kick-start your career through a structured apprenticeship combining work and study?
Join Innovate Tax, a multi-award-winning global tax technology consultancy, as an Apprentice IT Consultant focused on Business and Finance technology.
Whether you’re finishing school, college, or looking to retrain in a new career, this apprenticeship offers a unique opportunity to gain a recognised qualification while earning and gaining hands-on experience in a fast-growing global industry.
You don’t need prior experience in Business, Finance, or IT — just curiosity, motivation, and a willingness to learn. We’ll provide full training, mentoring, and study support to help you succeed.
Innovate Tax is a global tax technology consultancy helping businesses automate and manage their VAT and other indirect taxes (GST) using well-known, reputable IT systems. We also implement compliance tools, including e-invoicing, globally, as well as developing our own tools, incorporating AI technology.
We’re headquartered in the UK and have offices in Bognor Regis and Monmouth. We are also established in the USA, UAE, and India, and we will have remote team members and contractors across the UK, Europe and beyond. Our environment is friendly, fast-paced, and focused on helping people reach their potential.
Innovate Tax IT Consultants are the lifeblood of our business.
Many of our current consultants began their careers through our training and apprenticeship programmes and now they lead teams and travel the world implementing solutions across the major ERPs, including Oracle, SAP and Workday, using both Native and External Tax Engines for some of the biggest global brands (take a look at our website) across over 150 countries.
As an Apprentice IT Consultant, you’ll work alongside experienced consultants and gain hands-on experience in business, finance and technology while working towards a relevant qualification (such as a Level 3 or Level 4 apprenticeship in IT, Business Analysis, or Finance; this list is not exhaustive).
Your day-to-day might include:
- Supporting consultants on live projects for major international clients (see who we work with on our website).
- Learning how to configure and document software systems like Oracle and SAP.
- Helping create and update internal training materials and client guides.
- Providing first-line support to clients with the guidance of senior team members.
- Researching global tax trends and contributing to blog posts or newsletters (we’ll teach you how!).
- Gaining the opportunity (once trained) to visit client sites in the UK or abroad.
Every day is different — you’ll be learning new skills, building confidence, and developing a clear career path in technology consulting.
