Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented apprentice to join our team. The successful candidate will support the effective delivery of projects by monitoring budgets, managing costs, and providing accurate financial and progress reporting.
Responsibilities:
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and expenditures to ensure financial control.
- Prepare regular reports on project performance, including cost forecasts and variance analysis.
- Work closely with project managers to track progress, risks, and opportunities.
- Support project planning, resource allocation, and financial decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with contractual, regulatory, and company procedures.
- Contribute to process improvements in project control and reporting practices.

Desirable skills:
- Proven experience in project control, finance, or cost management within construction, engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Proficiency with project management and financial software (Primavera P6, MS Project, SAP, or similar).
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and cost control principles.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Risk workshop facilitation.
- Risk modelling (QRA)
- Ability to develop and implement a risk management plan.
If your expertise lies in other areas of Risk Management, we welcome your unique perspective and will give your experience thoughtful consideration. Where needed, we are fully committed to providing the training and support necessary to empower you to thrive in the role.
Entry requirements:
- Level 3 Qualification (Apprenticeship/A Levels/BTEC etc.)
- OR equivalent work experience (typically 2 years in a relevant role)
AND:
- 5 x GCSE’s including English & Maths at Grade 4 (C) or above.
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
