Where you’ll be working
Within SP Energy Networks, we are focusing on harnessing technology and innovation to create the networks of the future. With distribution networks designed for predictable, stable demand, it’s vital we upgrade our network to create the flexibility required to cope with the extensive changes to electricity demand, generation and consumer behaviour. Through technology and innovation, we will enable a consumer-led revolution in the use and operation of our system. It will undergo the biggest changes to its design and operation for over half a century and you can be part of it.

What you’ll be doing
As a Business Graduate at SP Energy Networks, you’ll have the unique opportunity to gain invaluable and varied experience as you will be exposed to different departments and functions, allowing you to gain a comprehensive understanding of how our business operates. This will include:
- Rotations across different departments and functions, including the revenue reporting team, business assurance and risk team, regulatory strategy team, price control negotiating team, energy income team, and regulatory reporting.
- Project assignments involving market research, data analysis, business strategy development, or process improvements within or across departments.
- Networking and relationship building with colleagues, senior management, stakeholders, and professionals from other organisations.
- Leadership development through workshops, training sessions, and mentorship opportunities to enhance leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
On this programme, you will have the opportunity for hybrid working, splitting time between home, site, and office depending on project requirements. Travel to different offices and sites within the business may also be required a few times each month.

What you’ll bring
- Four Highers at a minimum of B grade, including Maths and English
- A driving licence (or be working towards it) to access different sites both during and after the training period
