Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter & Decorator to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a keen eye for detail and a passion for transforming spaces through colour and design. This role involves working on various projects, including residential and commercial properties, ensuring that all work is completed to the highest standards.
Duties
- Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and priming as necessary.
- Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment.
- Mix and match paint colours to achieve desired results.
- Repair and maintain surfaces by filling holes, cracks, or imperfections prior to painting.
- Communicate effectively with clients to understand their vision and provide expert advice on colour schemes and finishes.
- Ensure all health and safety regulations are adhered to while working on-site.
- Keep work areas clean and organised throughout the duration of projects.
- Drive to various job sites as required.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in painting and decorating is desirable.
- Strong communication skills in English are required to interact with clients and team members effectively.
- own transport is ESSENTIAL for travelling between job sites.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Attention to detail with a strong aesthetic sense is crucial for delivering high-quality finishes.
