Overview:
As the Engineering Technician Apprentice, gaining a broad range of skills to become a Multi-Skilled Engineer in mechanical and electrical engineering.
Responsibilities:
The following list is an indication of the responsibilities of the role. The full Job Description is available upon successful application. The below list is not exhaustive and is intended as guidance only.
- Mechanical fitting and assembly
- Electrical Assembly including Panel building.
- Machinery alignment and commissioning for FAT
- Machinery installation and commissioning at customer’s site
As the Engineering Technician Apprentice, you may be required to perform duties other than those given in the job description. The duties and responsibilities attached to the post may vary from time to time without changing the general character of the duties or the level of responsibility entailed.
During the first year you will complete Level 2 foundation, second, third and fourth years, you will complete Engineering Technician Level 3 standard (Product Design and Development). All non-college days will be spent at PCE Automation. You may occasionally be asked to attend client sites to support with the installation and commissioning of automated systems as well as the PCE Automation site.
The apprenticeship has the potential to progress to a permanent position and to full multi skilled status after consolidation period.
