We have an exciting opportunity for an Apprentice Vehicle Technician at our Lowestoft branch.
As a Thurlow Nunn apprentice, you will be employed full-time for the duration of your apprenticeship programme, so whilst you are learning you will also be earning!
What does the apprenticeship involve?
The Apprentice Technician programme is a comprehensive 3-year programme to specifically provide you with the necessary knowledge and experience you will need to succeed within your chosen career path. You will work towards your NVQ level 2 and 3 in Light Vehicle Maintenance and Repair through a combination of attending manufacturer training on block release placements for one week at a time, work-based learning and regular visits at the dealership by an external trainer.
On a day-to-day basis you will work with your mentor. Initially shadowing them, but as you learn and develop skills you will be able to complete certain tasks yourself.
As well as gaining practical work experience you will be studying for a nationally recognised qualification. We hope that you will stay with us once the apprenticeship is complete to be a part of the forever expanding Thurlow Nunn family and for the chance of career progression across the many roles within the automotive industry.
What are the requirements?
You will be required to have, or predicted to obtain, GCSEs at grades A*-C / 9-4 (or equivalent) in English and Maths.
You must be willing to work in a practical environment, eager to learn, able to take instruction and use your own initiative.
As a family owned business we have strong values which we encourage our colleagues to demonstrate at all times; Professional, Trust, Respect, Caring and Together.
