Castell Howell Foods is Wales’ leading independent food service wholesaler, servicing the length and breadth of Wales, the Border Counties and the South West of England. We currently have a vacancy for an Apprentice Fishmonger based at Celtic Coast Fish Company, Pontyclun.
This is fantastic opportunity to achieve a Foundation Apprenticeship in Seafood Industry Skills while earning a salary. The successful candidate will be mentored by our experienced team who will support you to become fully skilled and qualified in this industry. This will include areas such as processing fish/shellfish for retail sale, contributing to the environmental safety in food manufacture, wrapping and packaging, retail operations and maintaining quality. The course should take around 18 months to complete and will be fully funded.
You will need to be 16 or over and will ideally hold three GCSE’s or equivalent including Maths and English but don’t worry if you don’t as attitude and willingness to learn is the most important aspect.
