THIS IS A FULL TIME SUB CONTRACT POSITION (CIS Scheme)
We are looking to add upto 2 new Multi Trade Carpenters to the team in the coming weeks.
This recruitment drive, just the same as our previous two, is aimed at up and coming trades having recently or about to complete an apprenticeship.
We are a small, young team ranging in age of 22 - 35, our most recent recruitment drives have proven very successful bringing in young, hungry, time served apprentices who are keen to grow their existing knowledge and upskill on there current skill set within additional trades.
These lads have come onboard, all with several areas for improvement or no knowledge at all in certain trades... Now 8 months to 2 years on board with us, learning and relating to fellow young trades they are thriving and are a vital part of the strongest team we have ever had here.
Working for some of the countries leading new build housing developers across the midlands region, your typical role will look as follows:
Day To Day
- 8:30am - 4pm
- Typically One Working Location For The Day, Sometimes Two Dependant On Job Size.
- Fuel Subsidence For The Above
- Monday - Friday
- Weekend Overtime Available At Increased Rates
- General Snagging & Remedial Works In Occupied Properties.
- Finishing Works To Unoccupied Plots On Live Sites Ready For Customer Move In.
- Larger Scale Pre Planned Works (Price)
Typical Tasks
- Predominantly 2nd Fix Carpentry (Skirting, Architraves, Frames etc)
- Kitchen Fitting - Replacement Doors, End Panels, Plinths, Units.
- Worktop Replacements (If Competent)
- Replacement External Doors & Frames Including Any Making Good
- Micro Cracking Remediation
- Painting & Decorating Works - Emulsion Walls & Ceilings, Patching & Prepping Poor Plastering, Plasterboard Joints, Gloss Work etc.
- Plaster Patching - Example: Making Good Ceiling Patches Following Access To Resolve Leak.
- Sealant Works - Internal Flooring Perimeters, Baths & Trays, External & Internal Door & Window Frames.
- Wall & Floor Tiling - Example: Shower Enclosure Leak Remedial, Remove Tiles, Re Board, Tile etc.
Requirements
- Own Van & Tools
- CSCS Card
- CIS Registered
- Proven Record Of Completed Apprenticeship
- Advantageous But Not Essential - Previous Work Within New Build Homes
