We are currently looking for a new salon apprentice to join our growing and talented team here at KAOS. If you are interested in hairdressing but aren't sure where to start an apprenticeship is for you! This is a great opportunity for anyone who sat their GCSE's earlier this year!
As an apprentice you will:
Learn all aspects of hairdressing including cutting, colouring, perming, hair ups etc, assist stylists, shampoo clients, take colours off, make refreshments for clients, maintain the salon appearance, perform conditioning treatments on clients and proactively stay up to date on the latest hairdressing trends and product launches.
Our ideal candidates will:
Have a passion for the hairdressing industry and be very keen to learn, have good communication skills and a friendly manner, must be reliable and trustworthy and have excellent customer services skills.
All candidates would ideally be local to Potters Bar and able to commute for training. Training takes place at an academy in Farringdon.
The salon is open every day including one late night on a Thursday. Your working hours would be split over these days. Training takes place for a full week at a time, and this is on a rota with the other apprentices we have at the time.
Previous Experience:
There is no previous experience required to start this apprenticeship. If you have achieved a grade 4 or above in your GCSE Maths and English, you then won’t need to complete Functional Skills during your apprenticeship.
If you have already started an apprenticeship elsewhere and would like to transfer to us this is also possible.
