Training
Complete Level 2 Warehouse Operative Apprenticeship
Goods In
Receive goods, check for order number, goods in good condition and are to specification.
- Book goods in via dimensions system
- Quarantine goods which do not conform to specification or are damaged
- Generate goods return notes for supplies which need returning to supplier
- Ensure internal customers are notified promptly on delivery of stock.
- Ensure rotation of stock.
Goods Out
Issue goods to workforce and book out via dimensions.
Safety
Ensure working environments are kept clean and safe to work in.
- Complete monthly stock checks for goods with best before dates, and report findings to Leading Storeman.
- Ensure goods and hazardous chemicals are stored as per Health and safety requirements.
- Lift, carry, unpack or load/unload supplies by using lifting equipment when necessary.
- Maintain lifting equipment in clean and serviceable condition.
People
- Assist with general enquiries.
- Deliver and promote excellent customer service
- Provide key support to Leading Storeman
Information
- Attend internal meetings: Purchasing & Stores.
- Promote business ethics, i.e. non disclosure of confidential information.
- Update best before dates monthly
- Workplace inspections carried out weekly
- Stocktakes completed as requested by Leading Storeman / Group Stores Manager
- Complete audits when requested by Leading Storeman or Group Stores Manager
General
To carry out any other duties and responsibilities as defined by your Manager based on the changing needs of the business.
