W*e are looking for a business administration apprentice to join our small team of accountants to assist with general office and accounting administration duties. *

You need to be able to commute easily to Preston PR1 area for this role.

We are looking for someone who is highly organised with a keen eye for detail who has great IT, communication and customer service skills. You will often be the first point of contact for new and existing clients and will complete administration duties to ensure the smooth running of the business.

You will be trained and supported in house whilst working towards your business administration level 3 qualification.

Duties

Provide clerical support including data entry and maintaining accurate records.
Utilise Google Suite for document creation, scheduling, and communication.
Assist with bookkeeping tasks using QuickBooks, ensuring financial records are up to date.
Answer phone calls professionally, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette.
Organise files and documents, ensuring easy access and retrieval of information.
Collaborate with team members on various projects, contributing ideas and insights.
Help manage office supplies and inventory, ensuring the office is well-stocked.
Participate in training sessions to enhance skills in administrative tasks.

Requirements

Proficiency in computerised systems and software applications, particularly Google Suite.
Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
Familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous but not essential.
Excellent typing skills with a focus on accuracy.
Strong organisational abilities to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Demonstrated administrative skills within an office environment.
Ability to communicate clearly and professionally both verbally and in writing.
A proactive attitude towards learning and personal development.

This apprenticeship is an excellent stepping stone for anyone looking to build a career in business administration while gaining valuable experience in a supportive environment.

This is an apprenticeship position. You will be paid the apprenticeship wage of £6.40 for this role (rising to £7.55 in April 2025)

Hours - Full time Monday to Friday
