Training Course/Qualification: Travel Consultant (Level 3)
The initial apprenticeship is 1 year however can be extended by a further year (Level 4).
Hours: 37.5 hours per week.Monday- Saturday, 9.00am- 6.00pm. 5 working days a week will be allocated, 7.5 hours per day. You make work later during peak periods. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
Start date: Monday 19th May 2025
As an apprentice, you'll have the opportunity to work within a company, gaining valuable hands-on experience while developing new skills. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals and receive guidance from your team manager to:
- Answer calls in a professional and timely manner
- Deliver outstanding customer service on every call
- Take inbound calls from travel agents, matching customer requirements to create tailor-made holidays
- Meet sales targets
- Maximise all sales opportunities including all ancillary sales opportunities. i.e. day tours, car hire and transfers
- Minimise losses and errors
- Reading back all details of customers itinerary
- Always go the extra mile for every customer
- Follow up on enquiries/quotes from customers
- Communicate professionally with customers, internal and external
Desirable Skills & Qualifications
- GCSE in Maths and English (Grade C/4)
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Customer focussed
- Passion for travel
- IT literate
- Experience of overseas travel
