Join our dynamic and forward-thinking team at HMS as an Apprentice Administrator (Business Systems), where you will gain practical experience and develop valuable skills, working towards an NVQ Level 3 qualification. This is a 18-month apprenticeship. Successful candidates will be expected to travel to their assigned college or workplace as required.

What Will You Be Doing?

Support business change activities and learn to plan, deliver, and track projects

Gain experience using ICT systems, including testing and training others

Handle customer queries professionally by phone, email, and in person

Work collaboratively with teams, building strong relationships across the business

Assist with customer experience tasks to support business goals

Develop communication and teamwork skills by supporting colleagues and managers

Deliver excellent customer service and manage shared mailboxes

Maintain accurate compliance records and documentation

Share ideas and help identify new initiatives and improvements

Take part in training, learning activities, and team support tasks

Attend college and complete all academic and work-based assessments

What We’re Looking For:

Applicants must have a minimum of four GCSEs at Grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English. Alternatively, a vocational qualification at Level 1 plus GCSEs at Grade D/3 or above in both Maths and English will be accepted. Functional Skills Level 1 in English and Maths is also accepted as an alternative to GCSEs. Please note: For apprentices aged 19 and over at the start of their apprenticeship, English and Maths qualifications are no longer a mandatory requirement in England. However, a basic assessment will still be required to ensure suitability for the course.

Assessment Day
Shortlisted candidates will be invited to attend an assessment day to further evaluate their skills and suitability for the apprenticeship. Assessment days will take place during the week commencing 9th July 2025.
Training
Apprenticeships at HMS include time away from working for specialist training. You’ll study to gain professional knowledge and skills.
College or Training Organisation
All our apprentices are enrolled in a local college in Liverpool, Warrington, or St Helens. Due to capacity limits, placements may be assigned to any of these colleges.
Your Training Plan
You will receive both on-the-job and off-the-job training over the course of 18 months, following a detailed induction and training plan. You will attend college on a day-release basis. Upon successful completion, you will earn the Level 3 Business Administration Qualification.
During Your Apprenticeship
You will work across our three main vibrant heartlands – Liverpool, Warrington, and St Helens and surrounding areas, where you’ll rotate through a variety of dynamic workstreams, gaining hands-on experience and building a broad foundation of knowledge along the way.
