Are you looking to start your career in a busy and supportive healthcare environment? We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and friendly individual to join our team as an Apprentice Receptionist while completing a Level 2 NVQ in Customer Service.
This is a 12-month apprenticeship position, ideal for someone who is organised, enjoys working with people, and is keen to develop skills in administration, customer service, and primary care.
Key Responsibilities:
- As part of our front-of-house team, you will support the day-to-day running of our reception area, including:
- Providing a warm and professional telephone and face-to-face service to patients
- Booking and managing appointments using our clinical system
- Handling prescription requests within agreed practice policies
- Supporting daily tasks such as preparing admin paperwork and clinical rooms
- Greeting all visitors and ensuring sign-in/out procedures are followed
- Advising patients of service charges, processing payments, and issuing receipts
- Keeping the reception and waiting areas clean and organised
- Assisting with patient queries and supporting colleagues across the practice
- Accepting and managing specimens following health and safety protocols
- Helping maintain accurate patient records and filing documentation
- You will also provide general assistance to GPs and contribute to the efficient and welcoming operation of the practice.
