Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Office/Business Administration Apprentice. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic, family-run office environment, providing essential support to our administrative and management staff. The apprentice will be trained to perform a variety of administrative tasks while pursuing a relevant qualification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Office Support: Assist in providing general office support, including customer and employee assistance.
- File Management: Help maintain well-organized files for various projects.
- Customer Communication: Support in communicating with customers/tenants and answering queries.
- Data Monitoring: Assist in monitoring and amending customer KPI spreadsheets and communicate key aspects directly to customers.
- Phone Management: Answer phones and connect calls to the relevant member of staff.
- Purchasing Support: Help raise purchase orders for materials/services with suppliers and subcontractors using Sage 50 Accounts (training provided).
- Client Relationship: Aid in building and maintaining relationships with clients.
- Email Management: Monitor shared inbox and deal with emails as required.
- Document Preparation: Assist in preparing documents by printing, copying, and binding site files.
- Correspondence: Help write and edit company correspondence.
- Stationery and Supplies: Assist in ordering office stationery and other supplies.
- General Assistance: Support all administrative and management staff with their work.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Minimum GCSEs in English and Mathematics.
- Office Skills: Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and multi-task
- Problem Solving: Basic problem-solving skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work well within a team.
- Enthusiasm: A positive and enthusiastic attitude towards learning and development.
