We are seeking a motivated IT Technician Apprentice to join our dynamic IT Team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop IT Support, Networking, and Systems Management skills in a fast-paced, unique environment. You’ll join our team as the IT Technician Apprentice, working alongside our IT Engineers, IT Administrator, and IT Manager to support Head Office and Production IT operations.
Vacancy Description:
- Assist in providing first-line IT support to colleagues across the business
- Support the existing IT Engineers in carrying out maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network systems
- Participate in ongoing and upcoming IT projects, including infrastructure improvements
- Learn to configure and manage key business systems
Desirable Skills and Qualities:
- Enthusiasm for IT and a willingness to learn
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Good people skills, with a proactive, friendly approach
Desired Qualifications:
- Prior study of IT/Computer Science at GCSE grade would be advantageous, but not required
Entry Requirements:
- 3 GCSEs (or equivalent) at grades 4+ (A-C) in any subject
- GCSE Maths and English (or equivalents) at grades 3+ (D or above)
- Prospective apprentices must not hold an existing qualification at the same or higher level as this apprenticeship is in a similar subject
You may also have a combination of qualifications and experience which demonstrate the minimum foundation needed for the programme. In this instance you could still be considered for the programme.
If you hold international equivalents of the above qualifications, at the time of your application you must be able to provide an official document that states how your international qualifications compare to the UK qualifications.
