Job Description
Working as part of the Electrical Engineering and Maintenance teams, you’ll gain exposure to a wide variety of systems, equipment, and real-world projects while developing your technical knowledge and professional skills.Learning & Development:
- Structured training programme leading to an NVQ or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.

Key Responsibilities
- Support electrical engineers and technicians in the maintenance, testing, and repair of electrical systems and equipment.
- Learn to interpret technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics.
- Assist with the installation and commissioning of new electrical systems under supervision.
- Participate in preventive maintenance schedules, ensuring accurate documentation of work completed.
- Apply Health, Safety, and Environmental policies at all times.
- Complete both on-the-job and academic learning modules in line with the apprenticeship framework.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas to a high professional standard.
- Collaborate effectively with other apprentices and wider technical teams across the site.
Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Confident user of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Outlook, Excel).
- Enthusiastic, proactive, and eager to learn within a technical environment.
- Able to work well in a team-based and safety-conscious workplace.
- Keen interest in pursuing a career in electrical or maintenance engineering.
